This is the beauty of the Road King! I love mine for this very reason, on long trips you've got the protection, get to the hotel and strip it off, then you've got a sweet boulevard cruiser!

I rarely take the shild off other than bar hopping. I like being able to burn one going down the highway. Mine is set to look through and I can look over if I sit up. Never had a problem looking through it, hell in a hard rain I duck behind it?Keep it clean and water rolls right off. What problems do yall have?

I have to say, even though I prefer the shield on, I rode with it off today for a short ride to dry the bike off after washing it. The bike feels lower to the ground and lighter without it. I know that is 100% a mental thing.

I like the way it feels in that regard, but don't care for the buffeting. And I need a place to store things that are readily available like my garage door opener. The windshield bag is perfect for that. I'd have to find a solution for that before I could give this a serious try.

Default It doesn't get any better

There's nothing like rollin 'round town on a Road King. Perhaps a 70 mph tailwind on the interstate? Not likely...guess I'll put the shield on.
