Default deal of a lifetime or just a good deal?

I've wanted a street glide for as long as I can remember so I decided to finally do it. Really didn't want to call around and get aggravated with sales staff etc so I emailed EVERY dealer (approx 40) within a 200 mile radius of me requesting a 2011 FLHX103 with cruise (vivid black) for $19,161 OTD (including freight, set-up and admin/doc fees BUT not including sales tax and title).

There were several colorful replies and phone calls received but there were also 7 replies (2 telephone and 5 via email) agreeing to accept and honor my request. The next morning I went in do make deposit and close the deal.

Instead of the vivid black I ended up with a black denim FLHX103 with cruise for the SAME price. The bike is in dealership storage until spring (also included in price) and I haven't been able to sleep for the past week. Winter can't be gone soon enough (for me). End result I got over 10% off my brand new 2011 FLHX103 and am thrilled. I realize that everyone has paid varying amounts some more and some less. My dealer was absolutely amazing to do business with and has me as a customer for life.

Street Glide 103 FLHX103 $18999 MSRP (Black Denim Color option $19,479 MSRP), $295 cruise, $1995 power pak = $21,769 + $380 freight for a total of $22,149

I paid $18,862 for the Black Denim FLHX103 with cruise and $299 for admin/doc fees = $19,161 OTD
$1,178.88 MA tax and $100.00 Title/Plate transfer

$3,287 Savings ... ($22,149 - $18,862 = $3,287)

That's a KILLER deal.

How did you arrive at that $19k total? Just deduct 10% or was it a educated guess at their money in one?

question...... are YOU happy with the deal???
if you are.... then it's a great deal
Asking on this forum, will bring a dozen replies about how much cheaper someone else paid....it's just the nature of the forum...

$19,161 OTD? So that included the taxes? If so that's a screaming deal.

For that $3,287 you should really be able to wake that 103" up! Congrats, my buddy picked up the same bike in Sedona Orange in October, it's sweet.

I felt my goal of 10% off was a fair deal for everyone and apparently I was correct.

thanks. I plan to do a k&n, jackpots and tuner. really want to get a se tuner but will most likely settle for pcv. not sure if jamie can assist with se calibration or not, anyone know?
