No problem at all, just some adjustment.

I work with a guy with the same setup. See his bike all the time, so do it!

I just swapped my leather bags for hard ones. Definitely improves the look. Those leather bags just look terrible after seeing how nice those hard bags are. The downside is the cost. I got lucky and was able to trade mine straight up. All I have in them is the cost of re-keying, Harley extensions, and having them painted to match my bike. Bike is at the painter now, and I will see the paint for the first time tomorrow.

I swap back and forth. Sometimes I like to run with just a set of leather bags, no windshield or fairing. Takes about 5 minutes, if that, to adjust the brackets one way or the other.

they're a direct replacement for each other. i prefer the hard bags because they're lockable and waterproof.

Rudy.....Welcome and Nice bike!!!!
I think your stock saddle bag safety rails are to narrow to fit hard bags...If this is the case P.M. me so i know if i am right/wrong.I think i have a set of the wide ones in storage that will fit hard bags?
Good luck with your project!!!!....................o~`o............

Don't know what year your bike is, or if it even makes a difference. But I put hard bags on my '07 RKC and they fit fine with only minor repositioning of the mounting tabs.
