I changed the oil in my 2009 Ultra forks shortly after I bought the bike. Installed the SE oil to stiffen the front end a little. Made a huge differance. Did not use a pump or dis-assemble the forks. Removed the plug on the bottom and top and drained and pumped the forks up and down. Measure the correct amount of oil and use a funnel. If you're worried about leaving a small amount of the old oil in just chase it out with new oil. Really not that big of a deal.

That oil will be nasty looking after a couple hundred miles and will still function properly. When I do mine the next time I'm going to give the heavier duty fluid a try. Good luck.

Changed my 07 U.C. at about 15,000 miles to S.E. heavy duty. You do not have to disassemble the forks. If all you want to do is change the fork oil, just drain through the drain plugs at the bottom of the forks and fill through the top with the correct amount of oil. If you do a search on this site, Iclick and others have a very good "how to" on changing fork oil this way. For me it was about the same as changing motor oil, drain and fill.
