Default Samson Fishtail Mufflers or VH Turndowns, Help me decide

These Samson 4" Samson Fishtales or VH Turn downs (M-161).

Here is a vid of the Samsons.. listen to the end when the guy drives it... sounds great in the vid.

http://www.samsonusa.com/M-161.html

Who has each and which one should I get? I have a 2010 Limited with VH True Duals, VH Air Cleaner, SEST Tuner.

Appreciate your comments, Ralph

I love unbaffled Samson fishtails. They're loud, but very distinctive and authentic sounding. Not too many exhaust systems sound or look better. The 4" fishtail mufflers have some of the look and sound, and probably perform better than the original style. They sure look good.

I went from true duals and Thunder Header muffs on my 07 roadking... i put on duals and VH Highoutputs on my 10 limited. It just doesn't make me smile like my old setup did. My wife likes it better, but she also has a nice big cushy seat and backrest.. I need to make me smile a little bit bigger. I'm Ok with not being as loud as the Thunderheaders, but I hate spending another 600 bucks just to see if the samsons are what I want. Anyone know how they compare to Thunderheaders in loudness. I probably want to be a little quieter, but i do want to hear it nice and loud at idle.

I also considered getting samsons dumps. Should i get samsons or vhines.. or should i just get another set of thunderheaders??? Help me decide.

Thanks, Ralph

Anyone behind you on a dusty road will probably have comments to make after following you, with the turn downs. Even starting your bike on a dusty road ends up kicking up dust.

Love the look of Samson straight pipe fishtails. Small strait pipes have a classic look, but not sure about performance/hp loss. They look kind of restrictive.

The TH's make you smile, go with them. If you want a really, really big smile go with the unbaffled Samson fishtails.

I reckon they are both good exhaust systems. I cannot give a educated opinion on either one. That being said. I am a sucker for fishtail mufflers. So. I would go with the fishtails.

I'm still up in the air on this one... it is one thing to hear a video and another to hear them in person. Maybe I'll just wait until spring and try to see some at a bike night.

On another note.. I freaking hate snow and I'm ready for the riding season to get here again!!!!! Ohio sucks!
