Keep a pair in my lowers. Seems that some of my jeans do ok but then some others need some help staying down there. Faarken are by far the best and heaviest Ive seen.

I purchased a pair at a rally, had a "wooden nickel" buckle. Looked really cool. Only problem, when riding, the buckle would flap in the wind and beat on the side of my boot...very annoying. I tried putting the buckle on the other side of the boot, didn't help. Also, they are a bit of a pain in the **** to put on/off, especially if you're battling dunlap syndrome.

Frankly I've never even seen them on anyone either.
Oh, I buy my riding Levis 2-4 inches longer, that helps.
+1 on the longer jeans. Only thing that sucks is most stores in my area only stock 30 and 32 inch inseams in waist sizes above 36. What? All fat guys like me have short legs?

on longer trips i know that the pant legs from the calves to ankles can become annoying. i've thought about getting a couple of strips of velcro from lowes and trying that to prevent the slapping of the pant legs, but haven't done so yet.

I have a pair of Faarkens that I keep in the bags. Most of the time, I don't need them. Ironically, my warmer (flannel-lined) jeans are the ones that go shooting up (a more "relaxed fit" and bigger leg openings).

That said -- The only times I've ridden in the cold on the new bike (with lowers), it was cold enough that I was wearing chaps over the jeans (20-30 degrees). I'm sure in the spring I'll find out if the lowers stop the legs from inflating...

Never worn them, it seems that once going pant legs stay where they should.Once years ago tried blousing rubbers,as were used in the military.

I wear carpenter jeans and ride with harness boots. The jeans have large legs and slide ride up the shaft of the boot. I've found that the boot straps (or stirrups) work well for me. As for my age, I'm 63, but don't understand what age has to do with bike wear?

Anyway, my $0.02

Just got myself a set of the Faarken stirrups. I've only ridden with them once and there was one thing that I did notice. By holding the pants in place, the pants leg that ususally flops around in the wind now flaps in the same place continually hitting you in the same place on your leg, just a little annoying. As someone else said,I'll use these on longer runs on the interstate and when it's cooler outside, not for putts locally.
BTW, I tried the longer jeans also and it seemed they caught more wind!!
