I'm lucky to have a great indy with 20 years experiance. He is a craftsman and knows his stuff. He can also do Ext -Wty work. He always takes the time to answer my questions and teach me more about my bike.

A really good place to start is on Yelp. If you read the reviews of shops in your area you will be surprised the info that can be had.

Thanks.
Well sir, if you mean using myself to make sure it's done properly then I guess I'm an independent.

for 20k service I've been quoted in high 300s at one dealer, and mid 400s at another, in the DFW, Texas area.. that doesn't include tires, spark plugs or fork oil or anything like that.. I was told 25k is the biggie at around 600-650ish at the dealer; that's a consistent price quote in this area....

I'm thinking about doing the 3yr prepaid pkg at Adam Smith, currently priced at 2500, so that would be like 70/mo for 5yrs of unlimited miles prepaid / PPM....

wow, that's about the 10th thread I've seen that's 5+ years or older today, must be the moon or something : )

and I do use a local Indy for some work, to support local business, sometimes I'm just not feeling like doing some stuff, and he always has a cold beer : )

My Indie has been wrenching on bikes since 1974. I go to a dealership when I feel like using indoor plumbing.
