Baton Rouge to Ft. Collins, Co

I love this place, what great feedback! Street King or Motorlessons I did a ride up in the Ft. Collins area there was a place called horse tooth mountain, something like that have you heard of it? man what a great ride, but like others have said, you can't go wrong in that area! Tas todd, my brother lives there, has a springer, I'll give him a call and let you know what he suggests.

Just a packing tip; stack your tent, pad, and bag on the front side of your sissy so they form a nice backrest. Leave any detachable rider backrest at home. A little experimenting will reveal the ideal stack-up for riding comfort. You'll thank yourself. 2-3 spider-bungees with coated metal hooks...NOT plastic hooks; H-D ones are great.

Call all the camp grounds in advance and check for times of operation and if they have a minimum stay. Most offices close at 5 and that puts a large damper on your riding day. Get started riding early and get to camp around 4 to check in and set up camp before it gets dark. Then you leave and get diner, gather supplies like snacks and beer, come back and shower and relax. Repeat as needed.
Thinks to make camping more tolerable:
I use an air mattress and a battery pump. Small pillow.
Collapsable cooler.
Two flashlights.
Bug spray.
Shower shoes.
String to hang your shower towel.
Quarters, laundry detergeant.
Reading material.
Also, as you may know, tent camping takes a little time to be efficient to put everything up and take it down. Be realistic on destination time and allow for that. It's supposed to be fun, not how many miles can I travel in a few days.
