Us rust belt people envy you. Vehicles will rust even parked in garages here, because of the humidity and the salt used excessively from November through March. I have my RKC at a friend's place in semi climate-controlled storage because of it.

I still got out on my 550 for awhile yesterday, couldn't pass up the opportunity. It's rusty enough that I don't care about the consequences.

Rode about 150 miles yesterday. Weather was finally in the high 60s and enjoyed a great ride.

I got about 70 miles in yesterday, had maybe 50 bikes in our group, 21 degrees and windy. It kicked *** to get out and ride.

Thumbs up New Years Day

Yep HOG Chapter got together for the New Year run. There were 50 bikes from our chapter and 20 from the sister. Temp about 50 and overcast and roads a little damp but WTH we road. For those that complain about getting dirty... guess they dont ride enough.

It was a mild 60° but cloudy and clammy day in S. LA yesterday, but I didn't get out. I was getting too much entertainment watching three SEC teams decimate the Big Ten competition yesterday, so I stayed inside. Geez, Michigan got walloped by the fifth-best team in the SEC West (Miss. St.), and what about #9 Mich. State vs. Bamalama? I know, you didn't ask about football.

It was in the 50's here. Rode to south GA with 32 bikes to get steaks at Benton Lee's. It was a 200+ mile trip. Got a cold rain the last 30 miles coming home. It was worth it though!

Here's a pic of a few of us on New Years day.

Annual Blessing of the Bikes. Must been in excess of 500 + bikes that showed up. Pretty Awesome.

Beautiful, sunny 65 degree weather, 150 miles of deserted country roads; it just doesn't get any better than that for the first ride of the year. Best New Year's Day ever! Sorry for those of you that have to park for the winter. I couldn't handle that.

I didn't get much more than about 30 miles in today, just got out to get out for a bit. The trickiest thing was just getting out of my driveway, but a little rock salt and cat litter made the drive a little less treacherous.

Anyone else get out for the first ride of the New Year today?
I rode a couple hundred miles sat. Started out in my leather jacket, came back in my tshirt. I think it got up to 80
