I love my Vivid Black RG, but sometimes the way it shows dust drives me nuts. I went from a silver bike to a black one and the only thing I don't like is the way it shows every speck and dust particle. If you don't mind the extra time cleaning, then go for the darker merlot color, but if you think you'd get frustrated with the extra polishing time, go with the orange.

UPDATE:...... have made a final decision on the Merlot sunglo after seeing it in the flesh in the sunlight and inside at the dealers. Very nice color.

Did not see the orange in the flesh, and I'm sure it is a nice color too, but a color I would get tired of quickly.

Thanks for eveyones opinions and pics!!

Check with a painter to see how much it would cost to paint a scratch. I was surprised to learn what some of these colors cost because of the multiple appliations of different colors. Now I understand why vivid black is $500 cheaper.

Its a 2011 so it comes from the factory with their stock 103" motor.... so the next decision is what pipes I should be adding and what cams I should be putting in.... LOL. It never ends.

The RKC comes from the factory with the 103, not the RK. Unless you found a mutant RK in Merlot it will have the 96
