Side by side..... those are both awesome colors. I wouldn't know which way to go if it was my choice.

I would buy the orange if I don't keep the bike for years. If it is a long term relationship, buy the red. Whatever you do, the color should match your personality.

It does look purple in some lighting. A nice looking purple to my eye...I noticed at the dealer yesterday that both colors get people standing around debating what 'real' color each bike actually was. I thought it was cool to see so much interest. Funny to see folks bobbing an weaving their heads around to see the color changes!

I think Merlot is the best way to go on the Street Glide. I obviously like the Sedona Orange but again for the Street Glide...I'd go Merlot. Just as a side note, I was deciding b/w a Merlot SG and the Sedona RG. I went RG because a. I've wanted one for years and b. SO on a RG looks freakin' awesome.

Cloudy Day

Sunny Day

Inside or under clouds the color is almost like a burnt copper or rust color...in the sun it really pops

The Merlot is a great color is you are looking for a dramatic diff between what it looks like inside and outside for sure.

I've gotten a lot of compliments on the Sedona Orange

Good Luck!

Thanks Portdawg.... those 3 different pics really highlight how different the color is in different lights sunny vs cloudy etc....

Thanks for posting those pics..... Now I think I'm falling for the Sedona Orange....
