Like others have said: the Merlot has photochromic specs and really pops in the sun. Looks great with chrome.
The Sedona also has the specs and goes from golden to a burnt orange. If you like black bits, then I think you'll like the Sedona. It looks awesome with black accents.
Can't go wrong with either one...the both look great. Flip a coin and win.
LOL if I had to flip a coin to decide the color of my new bike and got orange, then I might change my mind and then have to flip for "best out of 3".... and so on and so on.....
Hey thewholehog, as others have said they are both great colors.
Both look better outdoors than they do in the showroom.
Sedona Orange is a metallic paint, unlike the solid Harley orange.
Personally I like the Sedona Orange just a little better than the Merlot. Go to a dealer and have a look... outside.
Orange is one of my favorite colors.................the Sedona looks much more "golden" to me. Looks more orange in the sun, but still not close to what an orange looks like.
the new orange isn't anything like the orange they used for the 08 models of roadglide. that was a real orange. the new one unless it's in sunlight, to me almost looked like a rootbeer brownish metallic form of orange if that makes sense. it's totally up to you to figure out which color you would like. good luck with your decision.
I really like the Sedona. I have a Merlot and Cherry Limited and it seems to attract dirt, Its very hard to keep clean. My wife has a orange HHR about the same as the Sedona it don;t seem to be as hard. But hey you can run it thru the carwash for 5 bucks.
I've had blue ones, black ones, red ones, white ones, green ones, and two-tone ones. I've never seen an ugly one. You can't lose either way! Just pick a color and go with it.
