Default brake connection question

added new bars last nite which included a "build it yourself" front brake line. question is do i need some sort of teflon tape, etc. on where the lines connect to the distribution block? the factory system is all one piece with no bolt up connections except at the banjo bolts. the new one has a top line with connectors at each end. one end attaches to the banjo @ reservoir and the other connects to a small tube which screws into dist. block. the 2 lower lines have banjo on the lower end and the top screws into dist. block also. thanks

Teflon tape will cause it to leak.
That fitting you refer to should be either flared, or compression.

NO TAPE!

appears to be flared and thats what i thought. just wanted to make sure since dist. block is right over front fender and we know what can happen to paint with brake fluids. thanks

Don't try to manhandle that fitting when you tighten it.
They will snap.
Snug it up, then an extra 1/4 turn...that's plenty.

Use a plastic trash bag covering the fender when you fill/bleed.

Good luck.
