Default best place to buy +2" cables for a 2011 FLHR?

Looking at putting 14" Apes on my RK.... I think it would probably need +2" cables seeing as though 12" fits with stock cables.

Best cables to buy? Should I buy HD cables or aftermarket?

Will I need to extent the wiring harness??? I plan on internally wiring the bars.

Thanks for any advice.

I know HD makes on that is +3 for the side cars. That is what I got from LSHD dont know about your controls with those bars.

When I put on 13" bars I used +6" cables and the were just right, you might check that out, because I don't think 2" ar going to do it. Harley cables are very good and Phat Performance has all kinds of cable makers on their site. Good luck.

I always advise +6" for 12" apes as well. the Magnum Sterling Chromite II's are far nicer than the Harley Diamond Backs. I can get them for you.

Thanks for the reply Drew, sounds like Magnum Sterling Chromite II's are the way to go....

With respect to your cable length comment, I have to disagree....
Last time I put 12" apes on my softail they came with the "recommended" +6" cables and they were WAY TOO LONG.... ended up changing them out to + 3".

Now seeing as though I know stock cable lengths on the late model FLHR will work perfectly fine for 12" Apes, it only makes logical sense that for 14" Apes you would go 2" more in cable length??? Am I missing something?
