Winter time I use the Harley set in a 3/4 helmet. Summer time we run the other Harley over ear set for 1/2 height helmets. VERY happy with them both. Several in our group have J&M in $600 helmets. I can't tell a difference in mine and theirs....

I highly recommend the Harley, but don't mix the two, the mic sensitivity is different. Only matters if you are running VOX., but just FYI....

+1 on the advice not to mix HD and J&M - found out the hard way after leaving on a 2 week trip <lol>. W0ace is right about the VOX and mike sensitivities!

I did settle on the J&M, though, because I think the speakers have a much wider frequency response range - they don't rattle when your tunes have a thumping bass track.

Hey Dan
I notice this in my 3/4 helmet headset, but not the other one...

Not sure why that is, the over the ear one doesn't rattle at all, but the higher priced one for the 3/4 and full face does with a lot of bass sometimes, I am planning on returning it under warranty and see what happens with that....I just thought it was my headset, only seems to do it in the left side of mine???

Hi Chris,

I don't know if it's a 3/4 helmet thing or not. I used the HD headsets in 3/4's but I bought the J&Ms installed in Arai Profile full face helmets.

I did notice the rattling bass on 3 different HD headsets, though, so I chalked it up to less expensive speaker design.

73's back atcha!

I would like to ask a question while we are on communications. I have a 2011 Road Glide Ultra CVO. It was sold with the ability to take and make cell phone calls through the GPS and the headset if your cell phone was blue toothed to the GPS. Has anyone had any success with this or problems.
