Assuming the same year, are the seats on Road Glide Customs and Street Glides the same fit? In other words are they swapable?

 

I know the 2011's are the same part #

Most of the seats made for the 08 and later touring bikes are interchangeable. Some of the big *** touring seats from 09 and newer wont fit on the 08 models because they hit the frame covers. The 09 and newer bikes have a different shaped rear subframe.

 

I use a RG seat on my 08 SG when riding 2up. I sure it was off a 08 as well.

 

I have an 08 RG seat on my 10 RG and on my wifes 09 SG.
Great comfortable long distance seat!

Anyway, as someone else pointed out, all touring seats since 08 are interchangeable but the RG and SG seats became the exact same seat in 2010. Before then they were different styles.

i'm using an 09 roadglide seat on my 08 streetglide, and it made a big improvement over the streetglide seat. i know that harley changed the way seats mount on our bikes in 08, so 08 and newer will not fit the 07 and older. the new rg and sg seats are the same. i was surprised with how much more comfortable the roadglide seat on my streetglide is. even the stitching matches up with the tank console and it looks great. not near as dorky looking as the uncomfortable harley sundowner i bought for it.

 

Yes, 2008+ RG & SG seats are interchangeable.
