FWIW - Saw several on e-bay the other day while browsing. Also, some other posters say they have gotten them at dealerships that had them left over from others who had aftermarket exhaust systems installed.

Why do that? That pipe is probably good for 5+5. It is well built and weighs a lot less.

according to fuelmoto's charts their headpipe is worth 4.5 ft/lbs and 1.3 hp vs a non cat '09 headpipe. but it does look like a nice piece, and will probably be worth the upgrade when I go 107...... ok fine, calling fuelmoto back lol.....

In 2009 only California and SE bikes had Cats in the USA.

2010+ they all do...

If you have or get a PCV you can switch headpipes out between the years as the 02's won't be used.

You can also use a 2009 Cat-less header on a 2010+ bike if you use the little NAMZ conversion kit. It's like 30 bucks. No PCV needed if that's your thing.

I think by the time I buy an 09 headpipe and nice slip on, I may as well just buy a v&h pro pipe

LOL!

How cool is it that you are now officially wrong about something that makes your bike cooler, more powerful, and saved you money?!?

I'm usually wrong about things that take $100s to fix.

Yes they are different (size/position), but just get a tuner & plug them...

Take yours off cut it right in the middle of the cat , rip out the cat , then weld it back together....
Had a bud do it just last weekend , pretty easy, or pull it off cut it rip out the cat , take it to a welder and have them weld it.

I asked him about O2 Sensor cross talk, and he said , he did a bunch of research about it, and it should be just fine.

I use the 02's. I have the PC5 with AUTO TUNE.
