Default Zumo Map Update Question

I have a new Zumo 660 that came with a free map update as long as I update by Feb 11th. My question is when to update. Does anyone here know when the current lap was released and/or if Garmin has a release schedule. I'd hate to get the current file and have it update again before my date arrives.

Any insight appreciated.

not sure if they harley garmin updates are any diff then normal garmin, but ive had 2 map updates this year alone. im not sure if they have "Release Dates" . i paid like 80 bucks for lifetime updates

you could always update just before yours expires that way you have the latest regardless.

Garmin just released an update about 4-5 weeks ago. Go to the Garmin website.

Past map updates were as follows:

2010.40 released on 1/21/2010
2011.10 released on 4/21/2010
2011.20 released on 7/28/2010
2011.30 released on 11/11/2010 (Current maps)
2011.31 released on 12/19/2010 (this was a correction to map update 2011.30)

Hard to tell the exact date when the next release will come. (The 2011.4 may be delayed since 2011.30 had to be corrected.)

The "Lifetime Update" gives you 4 updates a year(5 for 2010, one was a correction) for around $80, not too much more than what they charge for the one-time update. Worth it IMO but I'm not on the email list for when the new updates are available. I just check it myself every 3-4 months or whenever I remember to.

Yeah, that sounds fair. I'll look into it.
