Storage place around Ft. Meyers
My wife, my son and I are hauling our bikes from northern Illinois in mid February to Florida. We are thinking we'll spend three days in the Orlando-Daytona area from the 18-21. We then would load the bikes back up and drive to the Ft. Meyers area and from there ride to Key West. What I need is a place to leave my pickup and trailer in the Ft. Meyers area. I've tried some commerical storage places and they want $140 for 5 days. Any ideas would be appreicated. Hutch

I rented a storage shed along I 75 at Gainesville for $80.00 a month in 2006. Only needed it for a week but they would not rent it for less. I still thought that was a good deal and I didn't worry about it for the week. Surely one of those self storage places would rent a space for a trailer and pick up for less than $140.00. Check on the INTERNET for self storage in FT. Myers. Good Luck
I should say we just parked inside the fence in a parking space. Did not rent a enclosed garage.

For how many days would you need parking in the Ft. Myers area? I'm in Cape Coral that is just across the bridges from Ft. Myers. Across the street from our home are several vacant lots on high mowed ground. I'd need to know when and for how long as I might have to pull a no charge visitors permit from the City to stay legal. We have tough code enforcement here and nosey neighbors that might complain. I'd also need your keys in the event that the rig would need to be moved for the lot mowing. I believe the permit is good for five days and we might not need to even pull one.
We would be glad to help you out if we can. PM me with anymore details and you can thank Mr. Wizard for passing along your post to me.
