Cam Question
Hi Everyone, Hope you all and your families had a super delux Christmas. I am new to the forum, but have been reading posts for quite a while. I'd appreciate any kind of help that you all could give me. Cams......cams, cams, cams. I know this is probably one of the most talked about topics around.
Here is my deal. I'm 59 and have been riding motorcycles since I was 15. I bought a new 2011 Road King Classic. I put a Big Sucker on it, Rhinehart True duals and had the bike dyno'd with my Screamin' Eagle Pro Super Tuner. My dyno results are 80.97 HP and 94.36 Max Torque. These are good numbers and I am very happy with them.
Almost all of my riding is 2 up with my wife. As usual, I'm looking for some more bottom end poop. I have researched cams to the point where I can go no further on my own. I have a great rapport with my dealer but would appreciate some input from you all.
I've got it narrowed down to 2 cams. The SE204's and the Wood's TW555......the triple nickel.
Warranty is not a problem. My dealer will be installing either one, has worked on the bike since I bought it and they said that they will honor any problem regardless of which cam I have installed.
Last, would you also give me some input as to EZ push rods versus solid push rods. Would SE 1.725 rockers be something that I should also consider doing?
I'm hoping to get this done in the next month. Thank you all so much for your response and help in this arena. I really appreciate your time in response to my questions.
Happy New Year to you all. Rock On!!!!!

Was I'm the same kinda boat as you, done all sorts of research, was thinkin the 555 but always kind of liked the reports coming back from people with the 255. I ride lots of 2 up, mountain passes, 2000-4000 range.... Called Bob Wood and he recommended the 5-6 as the ultimate torque cam. Said the 555 would need a little more compression to get what I wanted. So I've got the 5-6 on the way from fuelmoto along with their headpipe. Be installing them sometime in Jan then of to the dyno......

The 204s will probably give you slightly more bottom end due to the shorter duration, I personally like the 555s & haven't heard anyone was has installed them be unhappy with them. You might consider the 254E cams also for more bottom end, I haven't heard any feebback on them as of yet though.

The SE 204 should give you more down low grunt, unless you install the TW 555 with a +4 advancer. If you do that the bike should run like a raped ape!!! If you leave out the +4 advancer the bike will run sluggish down low.You would have to clean heads up a bit & raise comp a tad bit!!! JMHOP!!!

Wondering if the OP has a 103? In that case he has more comp than a 96 right? So maybe the 555 will give him the bottom end he wants tho I read a lot about happy 204'ers with the 103.....

Woods 5-6 work well as will the SE204 or Cycle Rama 575. I'm running the SE204 with SE 1.725 rockers in a 103 and they probably give about as balanced performance at the stock compression ratio as you could ever hope for. Honestly, if it were me, I'd go with any of those three. Fuel Moto tested the +4 advance in a Woods 6 and pretty much showed it made very little difference. The +4 is good for correcting slightly if you've got a cam with too much duration. Andrews 54 or Woods 555 like about 10.2 to be happiest.
2011 RK Classic, according to his post. Standard with the 103
