Removed my Saddlebag Guards, you?
#21
Pulled off my front and rear bumpers and was going to pull off the guard rails, then I noticed I could install tool bags on the rear of them and get all that stuff out of my right saddle bag. I now have tool bags on each one, and a empty saddle bag. We can now use the full saddlebags capacity for clothes when traveling. I'll post some pics when we get back home. Otherwise, mine would be gone. I really don't love the looks of them, but I'm happier since I found a good use for them.
As for protection, prolly helps some in parking lots from car doors. buddy dropped his Limited other day in parking lot and the front crash bar keeps it from going over to far and hitting the bags, so they are safe without the wrap around guards unless you go over at some weird angle...

I have a Vivid Black '07 Ultra CLassic.
Took the bag guards off and used the street glide lower bag support. Took the front and rear bumpers off as well.
Changed the saddlebag latches for the billet all chrome type.
Changed out the front and rear pancake turn signals for the" bullet" type housings and switched all the lighting front and rear to LED.
It gives it a longer, much sleeker look now.
