Through the years I've gone back and forth between different 2-1's and stock head pipes with slipons on my 05 98". This last time I fitted (with a bit of work) an 09 V&H 2-1-2 Power Duals head pipe with Rinehart 4" slipons to replace my FC. Looks nice, sounds nice but I'm sorry the FC just felt stronger and I miss it.

I went with the V&H Power Duals. Best of both worlds.

Im a 2/1 fan all the way. I have a v&h pro pipe with headers and i love the sound, the performance and the look on my RG custom.

i think the 2-1 has more of a 'sporty' look than the duals. so for looks, i say go with the 2-1. for performance, go with the 2-1. ah hell, just go with the 2-1......

I think I have to agree with harleytuner: D&D Fat Cat 2 into 1 with ghost pipe. Now you have the performance and the looks

For the record, I just run the Fatcat, but if I was worried about the dual look, i'd put on the ghost pipe.

The issue I have with running a Fatcat on a stock motor has to do with sound.

I see a guy often locally that has at least 5k invested in paint and runs Fatcat with the Ghost pipe for a wonderful look. Seriously I love his bike!
But it sounds like **** due to lack of compression and cam (with that pipe). No doubt he gained a few ponies with it, but he really needs to steer his next windfall into that motor!

V&H propipe 2 into 1 does pretty good to, but i'm pretty sure they don't make a ghost pipe. Thunder header has a ghost pipe, but if you don't like the sound of the Fatcat you probably wouldn't like the sound of the Thunderheader. Another thought, do you know what baffle the other bike is running? Maybe it'd sound more to your liking with a differn't baffle.

Good point on the baffle. No clue what he had in there.

Damn it was a nice look. The Fatcat Ghost pipe looks so real.
You really gotta twist your neck and look way up at the Y to see that it's not hooked up.
