Default Mustang Seat for my '08 Ultra... which model?

Which model should I get, the 76033 or the 79538? I'm short armed and short legged.... the wider, lower part of the 79538 sounds good, but I don't need to be another 1.75" further back. I'm leaning toward the 76033.

All suggestions would be appreciated.... just can't make my arms and legs longer. LOL

I already have the Mustang backrest, so that part has already on the bike.

The 76033 would probably be a good choice. I have used Mustangs on two of my previous HDs and loved them. If you are interested, for the first time Mustang is working on a heated seat option now for 2008 and newer bikes. Due to come out sometime very soon. So keep watching their website.
There is another vendor that does a good job with seats. It's CC Seats. Got to www.ccseats.com and you will see that they create some pretty nice seats, to your specificaitons, for a very reasonable price. I think they do a good job of catering to riders that need lower seat positions. Merry Christmas!, Joe

I recently installed a Mustang Super Touring seat on my '11 Limited and love it. It's the one that moves you back 1 3/4". I'm 6' 1" and I needed the extra room.

Sounds to me like you'd be better off with whichever one keeps you forward.

Not sure on the part numbers because the '11s are different from the '08s. Mine is 79556.

Thanks Joe and 2black1s, I appreciate the input. If I went with the seat that moved me back, I would have to change handlebars. LOL One thing would lead to another. Looks like the 76033 will be the choice?

Haven't bought yet, probably the 76033 that seems to be the best choice for me. Still looking. There is a company on eBay that has them for $369. that's the best price I've seen. Probably go with that deal, unless I find something here. Riding season has slowed down and the tear in my stock seat isn't that bad, so... just as long as I get one before the warmer weather starts. :-)

Anyone tried the Corbin?

More money, and it's not as wide of a seat, just wondering if the wife would be happy?

Talked to Mustang and the 76033 will actually increase my seat height by about 1.5" which is not an option.

Now I really need some help in finding the right seat. Already have the Mustang drivers back rest, so it needs to work with whatever I get.

Mean City Cycles is beginning to look like the best option, but I sure hate to send my seat off and not be able to ride until it comes back.

Again C&C Seats seem to be pretty good. I am in the same market as you. I went down and met Chuck and Chuey at their shop great guys and some nice stuff around there for sure. They have worked at Corbin and I think LePera or Mustang so they are not new to the seat scene. I will be going with them also I am pretty sure. But I hear Mustang is bringing out a new seat to be lower which it may make it a viable option for you again. There was a thread on it somewhere here.
