Default white hot demin

traded in my 2008 SG for a 2011 .. have few days to decide what to get.. im still for the white color since not many around... how easy is it to keep the white hot demin color ? i did test ride the new frame and it had the 103..did notice differance on curves... havent seen it on a SG in white demin yet...
only on a RG or FB - cant remeber what model it was...

my 2008 white gold pearl had a clear coat and was easy to keep bugs off with a good wax job... havent seen any post on the white hot demin regarding any paint issues... for who cares - sold mine for 18k on consignment and dealer giving me 17k for trade ( did have about 5K of mods though) for new 2011... going for the power package... now confused if will get another SG or UC... Damm... more research i do -- more $%^ confused... HELLLLLPPP...

Merry Christmas to all riders.

Have you really looked at the white hot denim? I saw on bagger at a dealer and no offense intended but it looked like it was a primer coat. I didn't think it did any justice to the bike at all. Maybe on a different model it would work but not a bagger. Personally I would go with what you already have if you still want to stay with the white.

Get what you want and have it custom painted.

I'd imagine white demin will be harder to maintain than other demin colors. With the exception of black, I'm not a fan of denim paint. Looks like primer.

Cant say I'm diggin the White Denim. My dealer has a Street Glide and a V-Rod Muscle in White Denim. The Muscle looks good because it has a matte grey "two-tone" on it. The Street Glide is just too much White Denim. Don't get me wrong, I like the denims... but the White Denim just seems somewhat out of place???

Check out the Merlot Street Glide and RGU... The Merlot has the same "classy look" as your 08 White Gold Pearl bike has. Pretty sure that would be the color I'd go with for 2011, but thats just me. I'm sure you'll get the one you like most.

Enjoy!

Have you seen this color in the sun? OMG!!! I saw a SG a few weeks ago at the dealer in the parking lot under full sun and man does that color look hot! The metallics in it really pop and looks nothing like the denim finish at all in a store under flourescents. I'd compare it more to my custom "satin" Pewter paint job as far as finish goes. It almost looks like it has some sheen to it compared to the other denim colors. If I had to trade my bike in and get a stock paint, that would be my choice and I think it would look even better blacked out. JMO

I saw the White Hot Denim at my dealer and I have to agree with Lancemchn. It does look very nice in the sunlight. Plus, since you live in Canada, your bike will blend in nicely with all of that snow!

Like others have said the denim looks like primer. Not for me but different strokes is what makes the world go 'round

I have seen the SG in white denim. Its a great looking color. don't know how it is to maintain, but its the one of the best color choices this year, orange is good also. Go Ultra or Limited and make stuff detachable. HMT
