RE: What is the correct model name of my Harley?
Congrats on a nice bike.
Go get yourself a Factory Service Manual (FSM) and do most of the maintenance yourself: motor/primary/tranny oil changes. Any small stuff that you don't wanna pay someone $75 per hour to do. Besides it'll help you become familiar with the bike.
You'll get lots of miles outta that EVO. Don't be afraid to put them on.
As far as what to call it: Wait till you wash and detail it the first time.....After you've cut a couple of fingers, I'm certain you'll have a couple of names for it.

The bike sems to run and drive perfect but I have a lot to learn.

I've always done my own fluid changes on vehicles, but didn't know much about scoots. I just bought mine in March and started riding scoots in April after my MSF course. Since then I have learned a lot. I have completed my own 20k service successfully and have installed my own Stage 1 to include duals, mufflers, air cleaner and fuel processor, and morphed my scoot into one bad azz machine with smoked lenses and chrome, etc. You will have fun.

I'm no stranger to turning a wrench but I've never messed with Harleys.
I've built and currently own some nasty quick street/strip cars and worked on about everthing else in-between(except Harleys).
This is my other street bike, it is one of the best sport touring bikes ever made but I can't get the wife to ride with me on it.
I was actually planning to flip the Ultra but after one ride and putting the wifegod on the back we quickly realized it's time to sell the old bike.
