Default Ultra wheels on RKC

I have some Knuckle 28 Spoke wheels that I am thinking of putting on my Road King Classic. Silver Pearl. Removing the white walls and going with the thin white stripe blackwalls. Any advice or comments? Just feel safer and don't want to be stranded with the spokes. How do you think it will look?

I don't have a problem with the wire spoke rims. I ran them for years on my Dyna's. The Knuckles were suppose to be on my Road King, But it was upgraded for some reason with the chrome smooth profile laced wheels. It's a 450.00 upgrade from the Knuckles. Go to harleydavidson.com and you can click on paint and wheels will let you see them on a road King. I think the RKC looks better with the wire wheels. More nostalgic. JMO

Never been a fan of spoked wheels, I've had them on several bikes, but I prefer the solid wheel. JMO.

Wire wheels and big fat white walls on the RKC really make it what it's supposed to look like - a motorcycle from the 1950's. It will look alright with the knuckles 28, but you'll lose the "classic" look. It will look like a Road King FLHR with leather bags.

I was thinking the same way for a while. After talking to quite a few guys, none of them ever seemed to have a problem with their spoked wheels. If I ever get sick of cleaning the WWW, then I'll switch. I just like the way they look. Besides, my tires are brand new. Have to wear these out first. The Knuckles are a 17" front.

Thanks One-Up. I like to ride highway miles and feel this would give me peace of mind. Just worried that it will look crappy.

It's a great look. I was gonna go with the Chrome contrast Knuckles, until I couldn't find a 17" WWW to go with it. THe WWW's make the Classic look.

I like them both - but those spokes are "really" hard to clean!

i am using the harley 9 spoke chrome wheels. they sure seemed to open up the bike a bunch compared to the tractor wheels my 08 streetglide had stock. those things look like they belong on a john deere instead of a harley, to me anyway.
