Woods cams in my 113"
So I bought a SE 113" kit for my 96". Kit comes with mva heads pistons cylinders 58mm throttle throttle body ect, and se 266e cams. Unfortunately I have to tear down the build to check on some things ( long story) and Ive been playing with the idea of going with a smaller cam upon a few reccomendations. So i called woods and they recommended the 408-6 cams. so heres the differences - se-266e cams. 262/266 duration @ .053 / .658 lift. The woods tw408-6 cams. 248 duration @ .053 / .650 lift. My question is does anyone have these cams in a big inch build and what performance is to be expected. Also does anyone agree or disagree with going with a smaller cam?

I'd rather have the power in a lower rpm than the 266's are going to give you. It depends on your riding style though. Torque wise, they aren't in full force till after 4 grand. I'm hardly ever at 4k rpm. What are you going to do about your crank?

It's all up to you, it sounds like you ride pretty aggressively so I think the 266s are good for that big a motor & no I don't think gear drive is needed. It sounds like you're pretty well on top of it, other than having to tear it back down to check something, hope everything checks out OK.
