Have you pulled the drain plug on the crankcase? Maybe all your oil is in there.

Probably either a bad o ring on the cam plate or a problem with the oil pump.

an extra 6 0z still dosent explain all that oil loss (quart and ahalf). Gonna rplace oilpump regardless to fueling.

No it certainly doesnt. I think the newer (07 and up) have more in the crankcase anyway if they've just been setting and checked rather than been running because the oil pump hasn't pumped it back out since the bike hasn't been running and they seem to get a little more in the crankcase while just setting. With only 200 miles and that kind of oil consumption/loss you'd think it would be pretty easy figure out where the problem is. IE oil under it when you park, oil in the crankcase or smoking out the exhaust like a chimney.

If you're anything like me, you're pretty upset with yourself... Well, actually if you didn't do the build, I'd be pretty upset with the guy you paid to do the build. That's an expensive lesson that you already knew. Shouldn't have to pay to learn something you already know. Maybe you should name names.

Rob Steffi (not sure about spelling) is supposed to be top notch tuner. He's in PA and owns Steffs Performance. He's a member here on the forums and goes by the name hot pursuit. I think he is one of my contacts if you want to check my profile. He was recommended to me by PhilM, another good guy and is in the know about large cube motors. You could ask Phil or Rob about your cam questions too.
