I'm glad I did it, one of the coolest things I've done on my bike, but of course now there's sand in strange places for awhile.

I am not fan of yellow except the day I parked next to a yellow RKCustom. Infact, I looked seriously at trading my 09 RK for the yellow SG (2013 I think) until I saw it in person. A yellow fairing was just a bit too much yellow for me.
I'm excited to see your next picture with the yellow bags.

I thought the same thing when I first saw the bike online but when I went to look at and saw it in the sun, oh yeah.

It was definitely a "learning curve" kind of thing. The hard sand wasn't a problem, but the patches of soft sand, especially at the entrances and exits, were a little challenging. I managed to stay upright but my buddy dropped his Ultra 3 times. In his defense- all the beer was in one saddlebag so he was off balance. It didn't hurt a thing dropping it in the sand, except maybe his pride.

Getting rid of the sand may take a while.
It goes everywhere.
