Story behind my blue RKC is that it was special ordered to include a set of color matched bags. I didn't place the order but the bike came with 4 identical keys. The dealer kept the soft bags in the deal. I think the original "buyer" ordered it this way but then backed out of the deal when the bike took longer to arrive than he wanted and bought something else.

 

Bought mine from Ebay for my 09 RKC. Here is the link and some pics on my bike.

I checked its compatibility and my bike is not listed. what mod did you do to make it fit on your bike? I have 2012 RKC

 

I just ordered mine from Surdyke.com. They were more than $400 cheaper than going through my dealer. Still pricey, though. Fortunately, they offered the same two-tone combination in the Limited, so that's what I had to order. Will match except for a very thin silver pinstripe that I'm planning to add.

 

I got some ABS vivid black ones I'm looking to sell. Had them mounted on bagger conversion brackets on my Sportster (fit pre 2014 touring bikes), but now that I upgraded to a 2014 I no longer need them. They have locks, hinges, already built. PM me if you are interested.

 

This thread is why I love the Road King! Everything from a fully decked out touring bike, down to a sleek, lowered, complete custom. Not many bikes in the HD lineup can vary from one extreme to the other. And me? I got lazy and went for the factory custom...

 

No mods.................bolted right up no problems. Just used my existing bag connector pins

Bought a brand new 2014 FHLP on 6/31/14
1st mod, remove the cop mirrors, and install black HD mirrors
Then got a brand new (never used) 2012 "take off" RK seat
Removed the luggage rack and windscreen
Lovin' it!
