RE: Sylvania Silverstar H4ST
Thanks SteveO, sounds exactly like what I'm looking for as long as the Ultra and RK have the same bulb. I didn't see any of the bulbs on the Custom Dymics site with the same watts that you mention (80/100). The bulbs there have two sets of watt numbers but non are 80/100. I'll give them a call or research some others sites. I always try to support the shops that sponser this site first. Again thanks...RC

If you want a real deal on the hard to get halogen bulbs check out Susquehanna Motorsports. They carry the high quality Hella bulbs made to German standards not the crap from the east. I have been running a 80/80 watt hella H4 since about a week afer I got my '07, about 5,300 miles now and it works great. They also make some heavy duty H4's and some are true Xenon. I bought a long life 60/50 Xenon but have not tried it yet. Great prices. They also carry glass Hella H4 headlamp lens assey's with optics--bought one before the last ones are sold.

I did the conversion from OEM lamps on my 2004 Road King to PIAA headlight and passing lamps. The headlight change was easy. Replace the H4 OEM bulb with PIAA "Super White" bulb, PIAA #70416. In the box the PIAA bulb has a blue tint to it but burns bright white. Be careful of other PIAA bulbs like the "Extreme White Plus" have a blue color on low beam.
Passing lamps took a little more work to match the lamp color. OEM passing lamps look yellow in comparison to the PIAA headlight. To fix this get the new HD halogen passing lamps and replace the bulbs with PIAA "Super White (H3 style). The other markings on the PIAA box are model # D-207E, Part # 70313, SWhite H3 35W Single. I did not need to use the extra wire parts that came in with the HD halogen bulbs. You do need to use an exacto knife to cut the rubber boot from the back of the HD halogen bulb to change bulbs. I did not try to see what color the HD halogen lamps would burn next to the PIAA headlamp. I hope this helps.

the blue lights don't make better light. your pupils don't react to blue light so the light "appears" brighter. that's why oncoming blue lights blind you. we use blue lighting in helicopter cockpits so you don't lose your night vision and they blue is also night vision goggles compatible.
