Default Brake Bleeding an ABS Bike - Any Success Yet?

We have talked and debated this topic quiet a bit but no one seems to have been successful.

So, has anyone been successfull in bleeding the brakes on an ABS bike yet?

As long as you don't get air in the ABS module there is no problem. You can replace line from the MC to the ABS module, bleed then attach. You can bleed from the module to the caliper as you normally would as long as you don't introduce air into the ABS module. If you do you need the digital tech to bleed.

Good thread. I've worked on a lot of brakes, but never ABS. Now that I have ABS I may have to get a video to see how this works. I didn't even think about this when I bought a Road King with ABS. Now that I think about it, I'd still go with the ABS.

Please excuse the ignorance but, what's a "digital tech" in this case?

Thanks!

Its the computer that the dealership plugs into your bike. It pulses the ABS module quickly to move the air out of the module. It also reads the codes and diagnoses issues.

I've bled my '08's ABS twice now without problems.
