Default Cycle Doctor - Costa Mesa, CA

So here's my plug for these guys. I had read a couple threads saying this shop really knew their stuff. I visited the Cycle Doctor over a year ago and inquired about having my Street Glide tuned. I spoke with the owner for about a half an hour, about what specifically I don't remember. I do remember that he was busy in the shop, and had stopped what he was doing to come talk to a potential customer.

Fast forward about a year, and I scraped up enough to do the 107 pistons and cylinders on my bike. I opted not to do the headwork at this point, but that's another story (regret) I was really impressed with the power I saw after the bump in displacement, but still knew that I was missing out in some areas, mainly WOT. I had been using the PCV with auto tune up to this point.

I ended up going back to the Cycle Doctor and shelled out the money for the TTS and 4 hours of time having Geoff do his thing on the dyno. He offered to let me sit in while he tuned the bike which I thought was totally bitchin' so I took him up on the offer.

Let me tell you, the difference after Geoff had done the tune, was simply amazing. I felt more of an increase in power after the bike was tuned, than I did when I had swapped the pistons and cylinders. The motor only ended up with a peak torque number of 104 FT/LBS but it's nearly 100 FT/LBS at around 2300RPM, and is a blast to ride at any RPM and throttle position.

The staff at Cycle Doctor are all super friendly and easy going. Geoff, while sometimes being so incredibly technical when explaining things, has never hesitated to describe what he's doing and why. I would do it again in a heartbeat, except this time, I'd have paid to have the head work done.

The Cycle Doctor is a very highly recommended tuner in SoCal. I'm glad all worked out for you!
