Pull it out. It's that simple.

It's just pushed into the bars. Pull it out slowly until the wires are exposed.

It might help to go to the opposite end of the wiring and disconnect the connection. It isnt' difficult to find.....look around in the wiring under the radio, and find the wires that exit thru the hole on the right side of the bars. It leads to a connector......unplug it, and you can pull the wires thru the bar along with the TBW module. There is some slack in the wires, but I don't think there is enuff there to remove the module w/o disconnecting it.

I just installed them on my 08 SG.
Take your fairing off and disconnect the TBW wire harness. If you have a manual, they have a diagram indicating which connection is which. You will need to get the harness out via the grip end enough to disconnect the Deutsch type connector. It's about 8" of wire or so.
What I did after that was to pull the harness completely out of the bar from the bottom end, that made fishing the Heat Demon wires really easy, but you don't have to. Once I pulled the wires over to the clutch end, I slowly pulled the fish tape back thru, and then at the opening, connected it to the TBW harness, and pulled it back in. The fish tape that Heat Demons gives you in the kit works very well, and the install was surprisingly easy.
One thing I did different than the instructions was, pull the power wires thru the inside of the bar into the fairing for power, rather than outside and down the bar, just looked cleaner, and again, the fish tape was in the bar already.
Hardest part was drilling the hole to pull the wire thru for the new perch controller. Get sharp bits.

On the SG there is an extra orange wire run up front for power to the fender lights on the Ultra, which I don't have. May be the same for the RG.
