+1 on easy off oven clean (yellow can I think is Heavy Duty)
Had a plastic shopping bag fly into my path. Could not avoid it. Melted right on to the pipes. I peeled the bag off and I could read the mirror image on the pipes. Rode the bike to a local store to heat up the pipes. Purchased Easy Off oven cleaner.
Worked great!

Spray the easy off on the rag or in a glass jar and paint it on with a brush. Let it sit for a bit.
THEN run the bike and heat up the pipes
The crap should wipe right off........what's left behind can be lifted off with a razor blade.
Never had an issue with this method.

I know this works on Rineharts. Can't guarantee on any other chrome. But I hear you guys taking about this problem all the time. And here is what I do. I take some fine steel wool 0000 and rub the spot, it takes any thing like boots, gloves, what ever off in just a few seconds. Usually do it cold. But as I said I have Rineharts. Maybe the chrome is better on them, but I doubt it. It never makes even the slightest mark in the chrome. Works great for me and I'm super picky. Wouldn't be doing it if it scratched.

I've tried everything listed over the years... and nothing has worked better on my cars, trucks, house, bike, etc... than the MR CLEAN MAGIC ERASER!
