I don't get the rear crash bar passenger comfort part of this thread,my wife says she doesn't notice the rear crash bar at all.Maybe it depends on if the woman's got short or long legs.... I'm guessing that using one of the products that lets you change passenger foot board position might be an option.

Beat me to it! I was wondering the same thing. Cuz unless she is facing the back of the bike they don't do her any good other than maybe keeping her leg from get squished if it gets tipped over.

You'll just have to go with the look you like. How often do you tip over? I like the looks of the crashbars on my RK. If I didn't, I'd take them off.

If you really want a clean look, take the front one off too. I did.

It's not how often you tip over. That one time you do, will ruin your day.

My bike came stock with NO rear crash bars ...

Love the clean look, no crash bars at all, BUT not ready to risk a minor mishap costing many thousands in paint & body work, yet ... fronts are staying on though most bikes look really nice without any. Or do some people thing they ADD to the look ?

I'm still looking for a set of small low profile front ones ...
