When you say does not slow down through put....I assume you are talking about back pressure? If so......why does the SE Street Performance touring mufflers state that they are designed specifically to work with the header catalyst equipped bikes? I'm guessing they are saying that meaning performance as opposed to sound?

I'm actually asking that as a question more than a statement trying to learn as a I go

I cut one in half today and light shines thru pretty well and there is a lot of surface area.

According to supertrapp who makes them it is for sound.

actually, i think in this case it is sound. without the cat pipe, the exhaust would be too loud and would no longer meet noise emission standards.....

See I learned something new Thanks guys....so can we assume that the only diff between an 09 vs 10/11 headpipe is pretty much sound based? Performance same?

The newer headpipes run about 100 degrees hotter and I can attest to that. No real difference in noticeable performance and the sound is slightly more muffled.

Aren't the O2 sensors in different places and different sizes on the 09 an 11?
