Default Upgrades from a Hawg Wired Amp/speaker system

Have a HawgWired DCS 120 watt amp/SX1202 speaker set up that I installed on my SG a couple of years ago. I may just be getting used to hearing the same setup and wanting something better but was curious if anyone out there is aware of a Hawg Wired upgrade (other than the 150 watt amp - I've been told the difference is not worth spending the $$) to what I have or another system that is significantly better than the HW system. Also, If anyone is using larger/different mfg speakers (4ohm) (I know there are many based on other related threads I've reviewed) with the HW amp, I'd be interested as well. Thanks

HW is supposed to be introducing their own 6.5" speakers shortly; wait and see what they come up with. Otherwise, there are tons of amp and speaker options to choose from.

Yeah, I'm definitely staying opened minded (not stuck on HW) but I'm really relying on some objective feedback from the Forum. It's really hard to know without hearing and, as you know all too well it can be a very expensive "experiment", so you guys are my best resource. Thanks

My previous bike I had Hawg Wired installed, very impressed. Very loud and very clean sound, no distortion at the upper levels. Very quality product, but very pricey as well. Although it is not the "best bang for the buck", if you desire very quality sound, they are hard to beat. After recommendations from DRVTwin, I went with the J&M amp, J&M speakers front and back, and the Tweeter Pod. For the money spent, I am very happy, but it is not nearly as quality sounding as the Hawg Wired set up.

Thx, I'm definitely looking for quality sound...I don't mind spending some extra $$ to upgrade but I want to make sure that whatever it is, it performs much better than what I have.

I have friends that have the 120w system , I bought the 150w double shot system and it is definately better, but not if you already have the 120w system, on my 2011 I ordered lower fairing on it and went with the Hawg wired 4 in the face 300w amp and 4 speakers and the tweeters, Frank at Drago's Bike Works hooked me up with a killer deal, it is the ultimate plug and play if you add lowers

I have the HW Double Shot as well. Sounds great and it is nice and clear. I am thinking now about adding speakers to the lowers. Any idea when HW is going to have the 6.5 speakers out?

I have the Hawg Wired 2 channel 150 w amp and a pair of the DX504-70 speakers and the sound level and quality are outstanding. Not wanting to add lowers to my bike I just added a pair of the Hawg Wired fairing tweeters and the improvement was substantial especially in sound quality.

I have the 150 watt 2 ch set up, last year I replaced the fabric speaker covers and installed the metal ones. Son of a biotch it made a night and day difference. Now I find myself at 80 mph turning down the volume and I wear a ff helmet. Before I did this I was going to do an upgrade, Im good now, one of the best $40 I ever spent
