IMO one of the nicest looking upgrades you can do for your bike.

Swap whatever you want inside the legs, but do not take off the air lines and fittings. Leave that stuff on and just don't put any air in the legs....The air system makes changing fork oil a 15 minute job.

I just swapped out chrome sliders on a friend's fatboy. He bought them on ebay from one of the wheel exchange companies. There are several of them with good feedback and prices. I think he used a seller buy the name impress-chrome. They mainly advertise wheels, but they also exchange fork sliders and cowbells as well.
