Center stand

hd center stand on ebay 99.00 great
I dont know what the issues some have with the center stand. once you get used to pulling the bike up on the stand it is easy. takes up less room in the garage and at work in the tight parking space (when we all ride into work it gets tight) I located a few on e-bay the most i paid was 99.00 and it came with everythng. We use our two post car lift at work with a brace keeping the rear and forward legs of the lift parrellel and we can lift most bikes with ease even the ones with the center stand. Never dragged the stand, but always the floor boards.

I bought Clint's and still have it, use it mainly in the garage but it is a space saver. I have only scraped it on speedbumps that I do not see...

I have the HD center stand on my '09 Ultra. I bought it instead of others for several reasons, primarily because it has adjustable legs. You can adjust the height to have the rear tire just touching the floor (easier to put up) or have it clear the ground (easier to put air in the tire, easier to clean the rear wheel), which is the way I have it.
If you decide to lower the rear of your bike, you can readjust the stand to maintain the rear tire lift the way you want it. You cannot do that with the aftermarket one.
Installation required using three bolts/screws and existing holes. It went on fairly easily.
I would suggest only using it when parked in your garage and using your side stand when out and about as the side stand is more stable. Also, if you have an asphalt driveway like I do and put it up on the center stand to wash the bike, it will sink in the driveway a little and leave marks.
In regards to getting it up on the stand, it is a little harder that some other bikes that I have owned, including the Gold Wing I had before this Ultra. It gets easier after you do it for a while. Use the technique mentioned here being left hand on the left hand grip, right hand on the saddlebag bar, and right foot on the center stand lever. Push down with your foot while lifting the saddle bag guard slightly and the bike will come up on the stand. I always get on the bike first before rocking it forward off the stand so I can stabilize the bike if it starts to fall either way.
Good luck and get the one that most fits your needs/wants.
