A new fender from the dealer will run you $300. Well, at least that's what my wife paid when she got me a new one a couple of years ago.
Order the fender from the dealer, and order it in the same color. It comes to you minus all the trim pieces, but you can use those off the dented one.

I'd go with a factory painted fender, that merlot is going to be a hard color to match, & if you go with 2 tone you'll have to try & match the pinstripe as well, I guarantee that will cost a lot more than a factory fender. If you want something different you could go with a clean streetglide fender in merlot, you wouldn't have to replace the trim & you'd always know it was your bike.

That sucks. The light housing is only about $80.

I remember the first chip on my previous bike. I dropped a wrench on the fender. It was actually a bit of a relief because the first one was out of the way and I didn't need to be paranoid anymore. I fixed it and now I am a lot more relaxed. Jujst remember, its a motor vehicle that's meant to be driven on the roads. Chips and dents will happen and everything is fixable.

Poor luck - but you and your son will share the memory. In '98 I bought a new BMW Z3 with factory hardtop. This first time we took the top off, my son set his side down near the trunk to change hand grip. Yep - that left a beautiful dimple in the car. To this day, it's still there...

why not just order a streetglide fender be a cleaner look and tell your son he owes you extended bags and rear fender for the back.

A friend of mine was unloading his 2010 Limited from having a bunch of engine work done on his fairly new (300 miles) bike and it went over while unloading. The front fender is the only thing that took damage and it was $6** to get a new one and it is two tone. Congrats on the new bike...and yeah crap happens now tie that dolly to the freakin' wall.

u can order the factory paint from your dealer but it cost a $160.00 cuz i bought a quart for my bike to paint the inner fairing and my extended bags. iam a painter for over 30 years so i will do this myself. it would be cheaper to by a new fender in your case. i bought one last year for my streetglide and it cost over $400.00.
