Default IPod compatability

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I could not find an answer. Why is the IPod classic not recommended for us withe the HK interface?

The old original iPod has a harddrive inside whereas the iPod nanos have a solid state memory system or memory chip. The harddrive models are sensitive to vibration and can be therefore damaged by it. Been there done that. My old iPod has been retired and I only use a nano now.

They say its because the Classic is a hard drive based Ipod, whereas the Nano, Shuffle & Itouch are MP3 style Ipods.

I've been using my Classic for well over a year, no probs to date.
I have it placed inside my saddlebag, just laying there...no padding around it.

Thanks IzzoQuazzo, that makes perfect sense, I didn't even think about that issue.

Thanks BadPiggy, I do have the padded support for the saddlebag lid. I already own the Ipod classic. I didn't want to screw up the interface or stereo.

I think this might be a "user beware" kind of thing.
I'm no fan of buying warranties, but I did buy a 4 year warranty with my Ipod.
I don't really sweat it.
