Same - Clevis & cotter pins. Trimmed & rounded with a Dremel tool.

Actually have to do that to the new ride over the winter...

I've found mine loose too on occasion. I swapped out the dzus (quick release) fastners that hold the bags on with bolts that'll prevent someone with a screwdriver from easily stealing the bags. Peace of mind is worth the extra hassle of taking them off.

One of my latch springs are broken, the latch is really loose now. Are these available standalone? Anyone got a part number for these (right latch, spring only)? Thanx.

I use "speednuts" and bolts with wings on them.

I have had the stock pins vibrate out on a washboard road.

Total cost at home depot about $8
