Default 2011 FLHTK - converted w/pics!

I've been out of the threads for a while because I've been working on my bike. I finally completed the first phase of converting my 2011 FLHTK to a Street Glide Ultra (?). Many people will argue that one because it still has the lower fairings and other EG features but all I can say is....I like it!

The first order of business was to install the RS siren that I learned about here in hdforums and it worked well. Actually, I went a bit further and was determined to make it plug & play. I did that but it took a while to get it all sorted out and in the end it cost me about $20. Nice and loud. Thanks to all of you who posted the idea and information on wiring

For the conversion I decided to go with a Mustang 2-piece Day Tripper and so far I'm liking the seat. It wasn't my first choice though. I was really interested in a C&C seat but for whatever reason, Chuck never called me back. I installed the Quick Detach system (53246-09) which came with everything to relocate the license plate, 4-point docking hardware, extension cables, and strut covers. That worked out pretty well but as you can see, the docking hardware is plainly visible in solo mode. Also bought the Harley short sissy bar but had trouble trying to identify a small passenger backrest pad to go with it. Ended up ordering a Mustang mini pad which is a direct fit and I'm waiting for it to arrive.

Beside the awesome new look it's really nice to ride. So much easier to get that short leg over the bike. It even feels lighter and a more nimble.

Here's a preview but other pics can be seen HERE .

Looks good , I have a 09 Root Beer Ultra I want to do the same thing to mine, only I'm going to get the 09 Road King tail light kit so I can mount my plates under the tail light,
also add www tires to the lace wheels.

I want that old time look,, How do you think the www tires will look?

I bet that will look awesome! I was thinking about how the RK tail light kit would have been better but I already spent a bucket of cash on that QD kit. Having the plate lower definitely gives a lower and cleaner look to the bike. I really like the way dansflhti looks I think he used the RK kit.

I'm only beginning with add-ons for this bike. All I need to do now is win the lottery so I can add some more, lol.

Good Work! Now you can call it an "UltraStreetGlide" or "StreetGlideUltra" or "UltraStreet" - or whatever but it sure looks sweet!
