Default What is your longest ride in December?

The wife and I are hitting the road next week. Headed to Phoenix from San Antonio. We are ready for some cool weather.....but think it will be great trip. Wife told me she will look like a Transformer on back with all gear on. I think it will be a great ride.

Cage riding is where its at, here in the upper right hand
corner of the map.
With black ice forming most every morning, its no fun on 4 wheels
let alone on two.

For all you "warm climate critters"....enjoy your riding this time
of year, and please post pics as it helps ease the withdrawal pains.

Will do brother. Living at the top of the map sucks this time of year!

I still get ~100 mile rides in over the winter as long as no snow, ice or salt is on the roads.

Same here as we have the occasional really nice days. Then even if on the cold side, if roads are okay I get the bug, gear up and go. Love my Gerbings heated gear!!!!

Last year we had 70+ degree days in December - a few over 80, even. We rode several 300 mile days.

This year, it's 40-50 with the constant threat of rain. Cagers here get even stupider in the rain, so we're going to be lucky if we get out of the garage!

It's been a busy couple of weeks for me, and I haven't had time to ride much.

Went a couple of hundred miles on Sunday. It was cool and windy, gusts up to 25 mph. I loved every minute of it. Finally got to try out my heated seat. It was too hot, had to keep cycling it on and off.

Nothing wrong with riding to Phoenix, as long as you got the right gear and are prepared to hole up somewhere if a storm drops in on you.

Pretty much the same thing here in Michigan. Time to hibernate & plan for the next upgrades!
