At 6'6" I'd think he needs the extender/spacers from Kuryakyn.
They stretch the boards forward 1" as well as out 1"
Extended brake and shift levers might be a good idea, too.
OR...if he plans on "pimping" his bike out in the future...
A good set of extended forward controls might be the answer!

I went with Mustang seats, they have quite a selection and were easy to work with.
I also went with Memphis Shades for the windshield. I was looking for that whole "clear fading to black" gig. Also very easy to work with, using a measuring windshield with the various product heights etched into it, to find the windshield that worked best for me.
