Hey all, seems like I read here somewhere about a free upgraded download for the newer touring bikes from H-D dealers, supposedly available in November. Does anyone know if this is indeed the case and has anyone had it done yet if so?

I am taking mine in for the "stage one" down load in the next week or so... I wonder if it replaces/updates that too.

 

Just bought a 2011 Road Glide Custom a month ago and haven't heard anything from the dealer i bought it from.

 

I heard it also. if you bring your bike in they will feed you all you can eat porterhouse steak while you wait. Harley and free???? Not a chance mwah hahaha

 

Only thing I've ever recieved free from HD is a cup of coffee and I'm sure they've charged me for it somehow!!!

 

Occasionally it does happen. HD will release a download that "fixes" some complaint and not make it generally known until the customer complains about it. In 09 there was an updated download to address something (I got it) but totally forgot what it was for. Last week I heard about a download that addresses loss of power in hot engines. Not sure it exists...just heard something about it.

In 08 there was the "free" heat management mode download or something too.
