Default Exhaust question

I have a 2005 Electra Glide with 2" true dual exhaust (drag pipes). My question is there any reason I cant cut the pipes and use a set of slide on mufflers? Thanks for any help.

are your pipes not slip ons even if they are drag pipe style? ive seen some slip on pipes that were basically like drag pipes. if so, you could just remove those and add some slip on mufflers.

Better check the O.D. of the header pipe and the I.D. of the slip-on. Slip-on I.D. is 1 13/16".

Be a shame to cut them pipes. price your out to see what they are worth. look locally for someone who might want to swap pipes with you.
find some smaller Harley repair shops because those dudes usually know everyone & who might have what you want!
