Heated Garage?

RE: Heated Garage?
Another frozen tundra guy here.
Each year I surrender my scoot to the stealership from Nov 15 thru March 15th.
On November 16th, I have my annual physical and ask the doc for some anti-depressants Anybody else dream about their scoot in the off-season???
The ONLY thing that sucks about Wisconsin is mid-winter.
Time is getting near. Wait a minute, no rain today - bye.

RE: Heated Garage?
I have two 220 volt 5000 watt electric heaters to keep the garage just over 45-50 and when I want to work I fire up the Mr Heater go back to the house to get a beer, read my email and its toasty. I was gonna run a gas line back to the garage since its cheaper to heat with then electric but I was a bit concerned with any flammable fumes that "may" leak and go boom. Ya never know...

RE: Heated Garage?
You might want to explore an infra-red heater. They supply radiant heat; heat you instead of the air. They come in natural gas or electric. Instant people heat, don't have to wait for the space to warm up.

I went off the deep end and built a new garage,Insulated and finished inside with a painted floor. I know , I gave up a vacation in Cancun for it. , What the heck. What is really bad, Is I,ve had street rods for 40 yrs and they wasn,t in a heated garage. must be slipping.

RE: Heated Garage?
Added onto the house & had to upgrade the heat. Took the energy efficient furnace from the house, converted it to propane & installed in what used to be the horse barn. Horses are gone, insulation & drywall installed, concrete poured. 14X12 industrial insulated garage door with opener. 24 X 30 foot building with 12 foot ceiling cost me $500.00 to heat for the entire Ohio winter last year. Kept it at 45 unless I was out there. Then only bumped it up to 60. Of all the improvements I have done to the house in the last 22 years this was one of the best....
