So my dealer was nice enough to toss in a set of helmet intercom systems to go with the Ultra only issue no owners manual to be found for my 2000 FLHTCUI
(yes I got is new to me) So I did some searching on the forum but couldn't find it. (not saying it't not there)
Any help would be great.
Thanks

I've got an 08, so I don't know how much different the radio might be, the intercom toggles on and off, use the "int" button on the radio. Then you can adjust how sensitive the VOX is to outside noise such as wind. Here in Wyoming I've found I just about can't use the intercom with my 3/4 helmet due to too much wind noise activating it and constantly cutting out the stereo....It's not too bad when the wife and I are wearing our full face helmets though.

You'll need to set the levels for your VOX (voice activated) microphones and intercom audio; both front and rear independently. You can access these settings through the radio control display under the comm button (I think). I'd set the VOX/intercom levels initially while stationary with the motor running then find a secluded road and fine tune them. Music (CD/radio) levels can be adjusted using handlebar or tourpak controls. Just remember that you need the radio display set to the proper page to set each of the different VOX/intercom levels.
It takes some time to get them right, but once set up properly the system works great. The music audio mutes automatically whenever either of you talks then resumes when you stop talking. Also, the PTT button is required only for broadcasting over the CB. Make sure the mics are very close, if not touching or slightly below, your lips. Good luck and be carefully when setting these levels while riding as it is distracting. In the flying business we always said--aviate, navigate and communicate--in that order.

Well... not really. If it's really windy out or for whatever reason, you can set your intercom so that you can talk with your passenger using the PTT button. The intercom can be set for either VOX or PTT. If you do have it set to PTT make sure your CB is turned off because you will broadcast when using PTT.
